Grant Circle’s New Look

Grant Circle’s New Look

One recent morning, on one of my daily trips over the Andrew Piatt Bridge. I sensed a new open feeling, a bigger sky, one might say. The sensation was palpable. That is when I noticed that the long-obscured 2+ acre lot at the rear of the White-Ellery House was being completely cleared by Windover Construction. After a quick Google inquiry, I was delighted to find out that this was the beginning of Cape Ann Museum’s creation of the new White-Ellery Campus.
The site includes the White-Ellery House (c. 1710) and Barn (c.1740) and the recently acquired Babson-Alling House (c. 1740). These historic properties will be connected by green space to a new, state-of-the-art collection storage facility and exhibition space. Vibrant and forward-thinking institutions such as Cape Ann Museum give our community an enduring and meaningful legacy of greatness.

Our Favorite Condo

Late in 2018, we closed on a unique property in Essex. As the listing real estate agents, we helped the owners orchestrate a new condominium association on their 4.5-acre coastal haven overlooking Walker’s Creek. The sellers built a new freestanding unit closer to the marsh for themselves and we sold the other ‘condo unit’ below for full price. The new Condo association has 2 free-standing units, each of which feels like a single family home. It took imagination and diligence to maximize the seller’s asset.
